Original lithograph in colors on white wove paper by Marc Chagall. Titled The Circus (in Yellow), the lithograph shows a clown against a vivid yellow background. Published in Chagall, Lithgraph I by Andre Sauret, Monte Carlo in 1960. From the unsigned edition of several thousand. (It was printed at the same time and from the same stones as that signed and numbered version.) This piece is number 290 in Mourlot’s Catalogue Raisonne of Chagall’s Lithographs.

In excellent condition, with rich colors. Framed in an antiqued silver frame and matted in black acid-free matting. Covered with UV-resistant acrylic to protect the fresh colors. Not previously framed. Works such as this sell in high-end galleries for $2,500-4,000.
