Original soft ground etching in black ink on beige laid paper by French Impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Titled Femme Couchee, Tourne a’Gauche (Woman Lying, Turned to the Left), this etching by Renoir shows a nude woman lying on a couche. Second state with signature in the plate. The etching was published in Gazette des Beaux Arts, Berlin, 1907 by Bruno Cassirer. Documented in Dr. Joseph G. Stella’s catalogue raisonne of Renoir’s prints titled, The Graphic Work of Renoir, 1975, No. 15.
